Quality system

The company has established a quality control system, comprising of:

• Control of raw materials (incoming control);
• In-process control (operation control);
• Control of the finished product (acceptance control).

In order to expand its markets the company is working on certification of products and quality management system (QMS) for compliance with Russian and international standards. The plant's QMS was first certified by Ural UCM "URALTEST" in Yekaterinburg for compliance with the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001 in 2006. The quality management system helps to optimize all production processes, improving their controllability and consistency. This leads to higher product quality and the quality of the Company's processes in general.

BSI Management System CIS (BSI – British Standards Institution, England) certification authority held a supervisory audit of NLMK Metalware’s quality management system for the compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. Registration Certificate No. FM 598728 valid until 14 September 2018 was issued.

The scope of Quality Management System covers development, production and delivery of hardware items (metalware) of industrial application and fixing hardware for general engineering application.

The plant has the Mosstroysertifikatsiya certificate of compliance of hot-rolled die-rolled sections, class B500C for reinforcing concrete structures with a 5, 6, 7 and 8 mm diameter with GOST R 52544-2006 requirements.

To date, 11 types of products are certified in the GOST R system:

• Self-tapping screws with pressure pads for metal sheet fastening as per TS 1640-013-55798700-2006;
  
• Self-tapping screws with pressure pads for wood fastening as per TS 1640-014-55798700-2006;
  

• Self-tapping screws for plasterboards as per TS 16 1640-015-55798700-2006;

• Low-carbon die-rolled section wire for concrete reinforcement, class VR-1, nominal diameter 2.2 – 6 mm as per TS 1213-009-55798700-2012;
  

• Welding steel wire, Sv-08, Sv-08А, Sv-08АА, Sv-08G2S grades, diameter 0.3 – 6.0 mm for electrodes production and welding (build-up), non-copper-coated as per GOST 2246-70;
  

• Galvanized copper steel wire for overhead communication lines, diameter 1.5 – 6 mm, normal and higher accuracy, coating surface density class 1 and 2 as per GOST 1668-73;
  

• Commercial quality low-carbon steel wire under GOST 3282-74;
  

• Construction flat-head nails and 0.8 – 1.6 mm rod diameter, 8 – 50 mm length; with conical head and 1.8 – 6.0 mm rod diameter, 32 – 200 mm length in wooden/corrugated cardboard boxes as per GOST 4028-63;
  

• Welded steel wire, heat treated Sv-08G2S as per STO 55798700-002-2014;
  

• Galvanized steel wire for electric wires and conductor cables armouring under GOST 1526-81, mass production;
  

• Low-carbon die-rolled section wire for concrete reinforcement, class VR-1, diameter 3.0; 4.0; 5.0 mm as per GOST 6727-80;
  

• Hot-rolled die-rolled sections for reinforcing concrete structures, class В500С, diameter 5, 6 and 8 mm certified for compliance with Lithuanian EN LST EN 10080:2006 standard.
